More About us
The Idoma Women Association (IWA) USA is a vibrant community of dedicated and accomplished Idoma women, united by a shared passion for cultural preservation and community development. Since our registration as a non-profit organization in Maryland in 2021, we have grown to include members from a wide range of professional backgrounds. Representing the nine Local Government Areas of Idoma land in Benue State, Nigeria, our association brings together daughters and wives of Idoma origin who are committed to making a meaningful impact both locally and globally.
At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to health, education, and welfare initiatives that uplift the Idoma people. We proudly collaborate with donors, philanthropists, and organizations—both within and outside the Idoma community—to create sustainable solutions that benefit women and children. Through every project and partnership, we strive to uphold and share the timeless values, traditions, and languages that define our identity as Idoma people.

Our Values
At IWA, our values are rooted in unity, compassion, cultural pride, and service. We believe in the power of sisterhood and collective action to uplift our communities. Guided by integrity, respect, and a deep love for our Idoma heritage, we are committed to promoting social welfare, preserving our language and traditions, and empowering women and children to thrive both in Idoma land and across the diaspora.
